Samsung Starts Rolling Out One UI 5.1 to Galaxy S20, S21, S22, and More Phones

Earlier today, we reported that One UI 5.1 would be coming to Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Z Flip, but it seems like Samsung had other plans, as the update has already started rolling to users worldwide. However, it is arriving on more devices than we had speculated.

Our initial understanding was that the update would come out to the flagships that are a year old. However, Samsung had other plans, as the One UI 5.1 is now rolling out to Galaxy S20, S21, and S22 users.

Less than two weeks after the unveiling, One UI 5.1 is already rolling out to 3 Galaxy flagship series, with seven more incoming

The confusion makes sense since Samsung never formally confirmed when the devices will be updated to One UI 5.1. However, some Galaxy S22 and S20 users are now seeing the update in parts of Europe. Galaxy S20Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22 users are talking about the latest update on /r/OneUI subreddit. 

As mentioned in the previous post, the One UI 5.1 update mainly brings quality-of-life features such as Expert RAW now being integrated into the main camera app, along with a bypass charging feature, some features to the customization, and more. Still, the update size is as big as 1.9GB.

Basically, if you have any recent Galaxy flagship, foldable or otherwise, you are eligible for the update. And knowing Samsung, you will be getting the update in the coming days, so stay tuned and keep checking for the update.
